The History of Liberty Communications & Data Systems
Liberty Communications & Data was founded in 1996 as Liberty Communications and
Data Systems, Inc. Headquartered in Marlton, New Jersey, a suburban business hub
located approximately 10 miles east of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Telecom veteran
Gerald Gordon headed up the venture that found success in the Inter-tel telecommunications
market which was extremely popular at the time.
In 2001 Liberty Communications launched a new partnership with Plano, Texas based
ESI Communications, a veteran company that was beginning to make waves in business
communications.
In 2005 anticipating company growth Liberty Communications moved its headquarters
to nearby Mount Laurel, New Jersey where it was based until December 2008.
In 2006 Liberty Communications joined San Diego, California based TAG, or Technology
Assurance Group. TAG, whose membership qualifications are extremely stringent, heavily
recruited the firm to join its alliance of top notch telecommunications corporations.
In 2007 Liberty Communications posted record sales figures and was recognized by
the Technology Assurance Group as a national leader in telecommunication sales growth.
In December 2008, following another year of record sales growth, Liberty Communications
purchased a new facility to house its operations in Moorestown, NJ. The state-of-the-art
facility is outfitted with a hi-tech conference facility, modern technical facility,
expanded warehouse space, and an interactive employee lounge.
In May 2009 Liberty Communications officially announced a partnership with Sunnyvale,
California based Zultys Communications, a VOIP industry leader.
In January of 2010 Liberty Communications rebranded as Liberty Communications &
Data offering a wider array of products to include Data/IT/Networking services.
